It’s Time For Accountability In The Sheriff’s Office

I am Tim Theobald and I am asking for your vote in the 2012 election. I appreciate your votes and support in the upcoming primaries.

As Sheriff I will strive to establish an alliance with citizens, businesses, community organizations, Government Leaders and fellow Law Enforcement Agencies. These collaborative efforts are essential to fighting crime in our community.

I will encourage the men and women of our county wide, full service Law Enforcement Agency to strive to fulfill our Constitutional duties, and our public safety mission while improving the quality of life for those living, working, and visiting in Gilmer County.

From our rural communities to the urban streets of our cities, our Sheriff’s Deputies will execute their duties more effectively and efficiently than ever before.

I wish to make the voters of Gilmer County aware of my candidacy for the office of Sheriff. My wife Linda and I have been residents of Gilmer County for the past seven years.

I started my law enforcement career in Houston Texas and then moved to the Tennessee/Georgia area. I served in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as an undercover narcotics agent. While with the G.B.I., I was assigned to the Governors Strike Force on Violent Crime.

I later served in the Sheriffs Department as a Detective Sergeant assigned to work general investigations, child abuse, sex crimes and as an undercover narcotics agent.

I have participated in the development of two multi-jurisdictional drug task forces; serving as Commander of the local Zell Miller Drug Task Force.

I have served with Homeland Security as a Security Manager.

I have devoted years of service to zealously combating the illegal drug problem in our Country.

If elected Sheriff I will utilize my past experience to continue fighting our community’s drug problem, serve the community, and protect the citizens of Gilmer County.

If Elected Sheriff I will:

Provide pro-active and aggressive drug intervention programs for Gilmer
County Schools
Aggressively combat illegal drug activities within the County
Increase visibility of patrol units to provide security and discourage crime
Establish an open door policy for all citizens with concerns and/or suggestions
Build strong relationships with DFACS to better protect the children of
Gilmer County

Implement the following programs:

Senior Citizens Call List - voluntary program that provides a daily
telephone call to ensure welfare
Anonymous Call Line - to report crime or suspicious behavior
Vacation Watch List - added security when you are out of town
After hours security checks on businesses
